Sales Engineer

Permanent full time position – negotiable pay plus bonus – company car

As part of our effort to support and drive business growth, Acclimatise is looking to recruit regional Sales Engineers. The ideal candidate will actively seek out new leads to generate sales and grow the customer base, whilst also promoting revenue growth through pro-active sales strategies exploring new and emerging markets to achieve set targets.

Role Responsibilities

  • Using only the best sales techniques whilst observing promotional trends in the market, the candidate will conduct independent internet searches and sales calls within the target areas. They will also travel to all designated regions to visit prospective customers and discuss Acclimatise products in depth. For this reason, the role requires rapport-building skills, and the ability to understand client requirements.
  • Attend site visits as an opportunity to discuss specific customer needs with existing and new clients. The candidate will then provide a solution-focused approach that addresses each of the client requirements, carefully relaying all details to the Sales Administration Team for quoting.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of work activities by completing all company documentation. This will include compiling and analysing sales figures and preparing detailed sales performance reports which demonstrate the progression of sales targets and sales projections. Attend regular sales meetings.
  • Achieve sales targets and clearly demonstrate outcomes to measure success and effort.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

You will be a self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record in Rental/Sales. You will have technical/engineering knowledge and experience within HVAC, M&E, Building Services and/or Facilities Services. Your dynamic approach to sales will demonstrate enthusiasm and resilience, with the motivation to deliver new leads and develop the existing client base by recognising new and potential markets. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external contacts. You must be able to plan and organise your workload whilst reporting each of your achievements. You are required to hold a Full Driving Licence as there is a requirement to travel extensively within the UK.
